BACK OF HOUSE POSITIONS

 

CHEF

We are seeking a passionate, mature, ambitious and experienced culinary professional to lead, create, build upon, and elevate an existing intimate dinner service - four nights a week.

You will be responsible to:

Create and execute menus
Coordinate inventory and ordering with an established brunch team
Create, communicate and monitor schedules
Train, educate, lead and develop staff
Coordinate, execute and ensure that the kitchen spaces remain organized and clean

Salary is negotiable

Our establishment serves elevated breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a state of the art kitchen.

We pride ourselves on cleanliness, efficiency and professionalism and are seeking qualified individuals to join and grow with our team.

You will work 4 days on - and be given 3 consecutive days off each week.

Starting salary is completely dependent on your skill and experience - estimated at 16$ - 21$/hr

Although this position is full time, we would entertain part time employment on a case by case basis.

You must have previous professional culinary and/or formal culinary school experience.


Baker // Pastry Chef

If you would enjoy working in a fast paced and fun artisan bakery and be a part of a winning and growing team of professionals, consider The Blue Door Cafe.

While employed at Blue Door, you will be required to master a variety of disciplines, to include, laminating, shaping and baking viennoiserie and artisan breads; formally plated desserts; and both day and night baking shifts.

Regardless of the shift, you will work 4 days each week and be given 3 days off.

Starting salary is commensurate with your skills and experience. There is opportunity for advancement.

You must have extensive experience working in a professional bakery and / or formal education in baking and pastry and display a passion and love for this aspect of the culinary field.
